The home page of Fine Gardening Magazine has good information on garden designs, plans, and projects and loads of useful information on perennials, annuals, container gardening, etc. all easily available online.

The home site of Organic Gardening magazine. Their organic gardening basics and solutions that are part of this site provide some very useful information. Also, the forum, Gardener to Gardener, is active and interesting.
The online site of Sunset Magazine has an informative gardening section. There are links to articles, advice on "What to do in your Garden" this month, and lots of other tidbits for the western gardener.
Royal Horticultural Society
From its foundation in 1804, the Royal Horticultural Society has grown to be the world's leading horticultural organization. They have an online plant finder database and a good advice section that is the vital work by RHS botanists, entomologists, plant pathologists, plant physiologists, soil scientists and general horticultural advisers. This advice is available for all.
