Delivery
The Library will make deliveries of books and other library
materials to Belvedere and Tiburon residents who are home
bound. Please contact the Library Director Deborah Mazzolini
(789-2656) if you are interested in finding out more about
this service.
Local
Authors
The Belvedere-Tiburon Library has a collection of materials
published, produced, recorded, etc. by residents of Belvedere
and Tiburon. If you have a book, CD, etc. to your credit,
the Library would like to include a signed copy of your work
on its shelves. Don't miss out on being part of this special
local collection!
Internet
Training
If you are interested in being introduced to searching the
Web or to further your skills in using the Internet, sign
up for a session as part of the Library's free training program.
The training program is coordinated by and staffed with a
group of knowledgeable volunteers known as The Netsharks.

MARINet
The Library is a member of the MARINet
library network, a consortium of all public libraries
in Marin County. The holdings of all MARINet libraries are
available to you and a library card from any Marin public
library can be used to borrow materials at any location. Here
is a link to the MARINet
catalog.
Online
Services
You can use the Library's public access terminals for information
research, to check your email, and to write your papers and
letters. You may walk in or make a reservation to use our
terminals, either in the Library or from your home computer.
You will need to have a MARINet
library card and a PIN
number to make your reservation.
Bring in your laptop and you can connect to the Library's
high speed lines. Connections are available at several locations
in the Library.
If you have a wireless card, the Library has a 802.11b wireless
network installed (wi-fi). Please ask for information
at the Reference Desk in the Library, call 789-2661, or email
to refdesk@bel-tib-lib.org.
Reference
Services
The Library has a staff of professional Reference Librarians
that are eager to provide you with research assistance and
information. The reference librarian is available during library
hours and can assist you at the reference desk, over the phone
at 789-2661, or on email at refdesk@bel-tib-lib.org.
AskNow
Our Library, as a participating member of the AskNow online
interactive reference service, offers local residents access
to special information services. Link to AskNow from the Ask
a Question page of our Web site.
Interlibrary
Loan
You are welcome to use our interlibrary
loan (ILL) services to get the information and
materials you need. Through the national and international
networks of public, school, academic, and special libraries,
our librarians can borrow resources for you from most anywhere.
In addition, through the MARINet
catalog, you can borrow items from any MARINet
library and have them delivered here. Furthermore, the library
is a member of the North Bay Cooperative Library System, and
you can request materials through SuperSearch,
an automated system that searches the holdings of Marin, Sonoma,
Napa, Solano, Mendocino, and Lake Counties.
Children's
and Young Adult Services
The Library has a wide range of services for both children
and young adults. There are many story, craft, film, music
and other special programs. Workstations are available for
homework, internet access with special web links for various
age ranges, and educational games for the younger, pre-school
group. There are also a variety of materials that can be borrowed,
collected for children of all ages, including books, cassettes,
DVDs, CDs, foreign language materials, and reference materials.

for All Ages
The Library schedules a variety programs for adults, young
adults, and children. There are storyhours, arts and crafts
workshops, author readings, museum docent presentations, films,

The Reference and Children's Department staff have identified
useful links to information available on the Internet and
there are specially purchased reference databases for Belvedere-Tiburon
residents available within our Virtual Library. Find out about
the Library and its services, link to the MARINet catalog,
and use our community links to local businesses, government,
and organizations.
