Belvedere and Tiburon
Belvedere
and Tiburon are located in southern Marin County, California,
just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. The two abutting communities
encompass an area of 4.9 square miles on the Tiburon Peninsula,
across the bay from San Francisco. Belvedere and Tiburon are
small, picturesque towns. The scenic vistas and recreational
opportunities draw tourists from the San Francisco Bay and
from afar. The Reed Union School District, grades kindergarten
through eighth grade, is ranked as one of the best in the
state. There is daily ferry service from Tiburon to San Francisco
for commuters and tourists. A low crime rate, beautiful location,
good restaurants, good schools and a wonderful library make
the City of Belvedere and Town of Tiburon area a most pleasant
place to live.
Belvedere
Belvedere, population 2,200, is a small and vibrant city with
approximately 1,050 households. The median age is 53 years
and more than 75% of residents have a bachelor's degree or
higher. Belvedere, or "beautiful view," has three
neighborhood areas: Belvedere Island, Corinthian Island, and
the Belvedere Lagoon, as well as condominium residences along
Beach Road, the thoroughfare that connects Belvedere Island
to Tiburon. There are beautiful views of San Francisco and
the Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, and Sausalito.

Tiburon
The Town of Tiburon, population 8,800, has approximately 3,893
household units. The median age of residents is 45 years and
70% of residents have a bachelor's degree or higher. Tiburon,
or "shark" from the Spanish, is bordered on the
west by the Richardson's Bay and to the south and east by
the San Francisco Bay.
The town of Tiburon is a tourist's delight, just a short drive
or ferry ride from San Francisco. The town is home to a number
of great restaurants and some of the best sailors in the world.
Angel Island State Park, a historic landmark and a fun place
to visit, looms large to the east of downtown, as Belvedere
rises above to the west, just a bit closer than the Golden
Gate Bridge.
